I don’t know about you, but I love seeing what people are actually buying and loving each week. What’s even better is when it comes with an honest and real review. I’m here to do just that. There’s something about Amazon hauls that always inspires my next checkout. So, here’s a little peek at what I purchased this week, along with my honest review!
I recently switched my Keurig coffee pods from the standard cups to plastic free cups. I also wanted an organic coffee. I found a brand that met these requirements yet didn’t break the bank! At less than $0.50 per coffee pod, I felt like this was a reasonable price to pay considering the specialized features. Let’s dive in for the review.

I have a standard Keurig machine – one of the REALLY old ones. It’s going on 15 years old (dinosaur, right?)! Until recently, I have always used the standard, plastic coffee pods. Typically the store brand of whatever big box store I happen to be shopping at that week. I tried the reusable pod and filter for a while as well. In the end, I was ready to switch to plastic free, organic pods.
So what did I switch to? I found a brand called beaniac on Amazon. The coffee is organic, has a compostable, plastic free container and tastes great. I’ll break it down further below.
Cost Comparison
Surprisingly, there is only a $0.19 difference in price per pod. And that’s compared to the 100 count bulk box! I would typically buy the 100 count bulk box at $0.28 per pod. I buy beaniac in a 30 count box at $0.47 per pod. I also set this up with Amazon’s Subscribe and Save where I get an additional 5% savings. I have it set up to deliver one 30 count box every month. This is a great price for an organic coffee in a special feature pod, especially compared to what else I’ve researched.

The Design
So if the pod isn’t made of plastic, what is it? The green lid or top is made of commercially compostable materials. If you have a facility in your area, you can commercially compost these rather than throw them away. The next layer, which is the brown ring, is made from coffee bean skins and other commercially compostable materials. The bottom, or sack that holds the grounds, is made with a plant-based material. No plastic!

Flavor Options
Beaniac has several flavors to choose from. I started out with the Full on French Roast. And man was it strong ! If you like a strong cup of coffee, this flavor is for you! I ended up switching to the Daily Dose Donut Shop, a much lighter roast and exactly what I was looking for. I also like to keep a decaf on hand called the Downtime Decaf. Other flavor profiles include Kickstarter 100% Columbian (medium light), Bean Me Up Coffeehouse Blend (medium), Flavor Freak Madagascar Vanilla (light) and Sweet n’ Saucy Caramel (light). I plan on trying the vanilla and caramel in the near future.

Usability
Are they easy to use? Yes! They are the same size as a standard cup and fit directly into the Keurig.
Convenience
What’s more convenient than having it delivered straight to your door? I even have this product set up with Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program where a box gets delivered every 30 days. Talk about convenient!
If you’re looking for a convenient, clean, and flavorful way to start your day, Beaniac Coffee Pods really deliver. With organic ingredients, a variety of roast options, and compatibility with most Keurig-style brewers, they strike the perfect balance between quality and ease. If you need a bold wake-up call or a smooth midday sip, there’s a Beaniac pod that fits the moment—without the guilt of questionable ingredients or wasteful packaging.
After trying several brands, I can honestly say Beaniac stands out for both its taste and its commitment to sustainability. It’s refreshing to find a product that doesn’t compromise on flavor or values. If you’re ready to upgrade your coffee routine, give Beaniac a try—you just might find your new go-to brew. Let me know your favorite flavor if you’ve tried them, or drop a comment if you have a coffee pod you think rivals this one!
